Marcus brings world-class expertise to MW Golf as a former world number 1-ranked amateur and 12-year touring professional. Marcus has leveraged his elite playing experience to become one of New Zealand’s most respected teaching professionals.
His coaching excellence has been recognised with consecutive NZPGA Coach of the Year awards (2017, 2018, 2019), while his most notable success story includes guiding Ryan Fox’s professional career since 2012, supporting his journey to the European Tour.
As Director of Teaching at Royal Auckland & Grange Golf Club and Akarana Golf Club, Marcus has built the foundation for MW Golf’s team-first approach. His vision of collaborative coaching — where diverse expertise serves every golfer’s unique needs — has transformed how golf instruction is delivered across New Zealand.

Fraser Wilkin

Fraser brings exceptional playing credentials and extensive coaching experience to the MW Golf team. A dedicated competitor who represented Auckland from age 12 through 24, Fraser turned professional in 2012 and competed on the Australian PGA Tour, China Tour, and NZPGA circuit.
Having worked alongside Marcus for eight years, Fraser has developed a deep understanding of golf coaching principles and the MW Golf philosophy. This long-standing partnership has shaped his approach to instruction, combining tour-level insights with proven teaching methodologies.
Fraser has built an outstanding reputation for his versatility as a coach, successfully working with golfers across all skill levels. Whether guiding juniors through their first lessons, helping beginners discover their love for the game, or fine-tuning the techniques of experienced players, Fraser adapts his coaching style to meet each golfer’s unique needs.
His competitive background provides invaluable perspective on course management, mental preparation, and the technical demands of tournament play, while his patient and encouraging approach makes him equally effective with recreational golfers seeking to improve their enjoyment of the game.
TrackMan technology is used during Fraser’s lessons, providing golfers with precise data and real-time feedback to accelerate progress and deepen their understanding of the swing.

Jimmy has a holistic approach to player development. He uses world leading technology and software along with a strong commitment to personal growth and development to provide clients with the highest level of service available.
Jimmy’s 25-year journey with golf began at a young age and has evolved into a passionate coaching career dedicated to helping golfers of all levels improve their skills and deepen their enjoyment of the game. Jimmy is committed to seeing his clients succeed in their goals
Jimmy is Titliest Performance Institute qualified, he understands the body and the way it functions in the golf swing helping players to maximise enjoyment of the game while preventing injury.
Whether leading group clinics or providing personalised one-on-one coaching at Akarana, Jimmy tailors his instruction to each player’s specific needs and physical capabilities. His holistic approach ensures that golfers not only improve their technique but also develop the physical foundation necessary for long-term success and injury prevention.

Mitch Price
Mitchell Price is a highly experienced NZPGA golf professional with over 15 years of coaching experience across New Zealand, China, and the United States. A Leadbetter Certified Instructor and expert in TrackMan, Paul Hurrion Quintic Putting, and TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) methodologies, Mitchell brings a world-class, science-based approach to golf coaching.
Specializing in a holistic teaching system, Mitchell works with players of all levels – from beginners to elite amateurs – focusing on the technical, tactical, and physical elements of the game. His deep knowledge of human movement and biomechanics allows him to tailor programs that improve performance and prevent injury.

Dominic Sainsbury brings a lifelong passion for golf and over 25 years of experience in the game as a coach, administrator, and educator—including a decade leading the PGA of New Zealand as Education Manager and later Executive Officer. Golf is truly “in his bones,” and Dominic has dedicated his career to sharing the joy and challenge of the game with players of all levels.
Dominic is known for his deep knowledge of swing mechanics, as well as the physical and psychological aspects that drive player performance. His ability to simplify complex concepts into practical, actionable skills sets him apart as a coach. Whether it’s helping beginners find early confidence or guiding more experienced players toward competitive improvement, Dominic focuses on real-world, on-course application.
His teaching philosophy is grounded in creating a positive, engaging learning environment. Dominic’s infectious enthusiasm, patient guidance, and encouraging style help golfers feel confident to take risks, learn from setbacks, and celebrate progress. Jack Ramsay
Jack, a member of the PGA GB&I, grew up in the world-renowned golf destination of Troon, where he was surrounded by championship courses and a strong golfing culture from an early age. Having played the game since the age of 10, he developed a deep passion for golf and a foundation that would later shape his professional career.
Jack started as a professional in 2022 at the prestigious Turnberry Resort, where he completed his PGA training. During his years as a professional in Scotland, he competed in British PGA events and learned from some of the most respected coaches in the UK, gaining valuable insight into technique, course strategy, and player development.
Now based at the Royal Auckland and Grange Golf club, Jack continues to grow his coaching expertise under the guidance of the Marcus Wheelhouse Golf Team. Jack offers tailored instruction designed to help golfers of all levels improve their skill and love of the game.
He brings enthusiasm, curiosity and genuine commitment to every session – dedicated to supporting player at all stages of their journey and helping them unlock their potential.
